Who are we in this life?
hero
traitor
helper
accuser
Everyone wanted to be a hero. Good feeling, isn't it? And the one who helps! It gives self satisfaction! Makes our life meaningful.
I supposed no one would want to be the traitor. But how many times we had been a traitor? Once, twice or not at all?
How about the accuser? Guilty? Why? How many times we accused others of something? You know what! She did this and she did that and how can she do all of these things? Sounds familiar? We judge others and forgeting that we too are not perfect.
It made me think about these words when I was reading the story about Jesus where Judas betrayed him.
Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. So Judas came to the grove, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches and weapons. John 18: 2-3
Heres comes the traitor and the accusers!
Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, " Who is it that you want?" John 18:4
Jesus, the hero who offered his life for us!
Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, cutting off his right ear. John 18:10
Peter, the helper ( he tought so)
How about we? Who do we want to be in this life? To God, to our family and friends?
A hero?
A traitor?
An accuser?
A helper?

My entry to " Floral Friday Fotos"
Lord, help us to be a hero in this life. Let us not be blinded by money, fame or fortune that can make us betray you. Give us the wisdon to handle pressure in our lives so that we will not dishonor your name. Let us see others with your eyes so that we won't judge them with our measuring stick. And let us be thankful for you had given your life to us!

Thanx mommy. This story gives us alot of different lessons
ReplyDeleteGod Bless Your Life dear Joy, I Love This Post Because It's True.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Have A Wonderful Weekend.
A very meaningful post Ms. Joy. Indeed! you are so right - that we shouldn't be blinded by whatever material riches we have. Instead, we should use these material possessions to bless other people.
ReplyDeleteRelating to the story, definitely I would choose to be a hero, not because I want to be famous or to be elevated into fame, but being one (if given the chance in our lifetime) is a golden opportunity to help people who are in need. As I always believe that our life's ultimate purpose here on earth is to be of person to others". We are created by God to co-exists with other human beings. To share love, to care for them, to look for them and to live in a harmonious relationship. If only all people are always clinging on the sunny side of life despite difficulties and hardships being encountered, then we will have a world with high hopes of achieving peace among nations.
Wow, ang haba na pala ng comments ko hehehe...but it is really nice to read this kind of post. More of this please. God bless you always.
Joy, this is a great post. I think we may all choose to be the hero, but we have been all of the characters you mentioned, at some time in our lives. Thank you, for a heartfelt post. I have to work in my studio. I have orders to fill. Take care. I'm glad I stopped by!
