I have been waiting for the fruit of my cherry tree to be riped this summer, but these culprits ( starling) came and stole and ate all the fruits. All was left was the seeds of the fruist hanging on the tree. It is like that they are telling me: " Hey, we left something for you."
It reminds me of God's words in the bible
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10: 10
Yes, we have an enemy who tries to steal our joy, peace, blessings and trust in God. Sometimes we just want to give up and won't fight. Like I allowed the birds to steal my cherry fruits. I didn't have time be there and shooed them away 24 hours a day. So nothing left for me. That I don't want to happen in my life. I want to eat the fruits of the Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
In our everyday lives, we ought to be on guard all the times because the enemy does not sleep. The best way we can do is cling to God because in him there is life. He is our refuge in times of difficulties.
"When the Enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God will raise a standard against him!" (Isaiah 59:19)
Lord, thank you for your words that reminds us how big you are. We don't need to be afraid of the enemy because with you, we can be victorious against him. Thank you for giving us life and enjoy it to the fullest.
